Sherry Council of America
Sherry wine, while a mainstay in Spain, was sadly misunderstood in the US as a mere cooking wine or stodgy relic of dusty mid-century liquor cabinets. To cocktail aficionados, it was wine’s best kept secret. To spread the word, we created a “Secret Sherry Society” that was anything but secret and made conspicuous appearances at tasting events and in popular nightlife neighborhoods. The campaign featured the eight eccentric founding members of the Society, modeled after the characteristics of each of the eight main types of Sherry.
